AHW issues call for reviewers for Innovations to Advance Wisconsin’s Health Workforce

October 3, 2019 - The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment seeks individuals with a broad range of expertise related to the health workforce and adult education to serve on a panel of merit reviewers to help in the selection of projects to be awarded grant funding under AHW’s open Call for Applications: Innovations to Advance Wisconsin’s Health Workforce. This call seeks to support the development of innovative and sustainable programs, tools, and resources to support ongoing workforce development among Wisconsin’s current health research, health care, and community health improvement workforces and the next generation of leaders in these fields.

Reviewers will provide written analysis and scoring of submitted grant applications followed by in-person discussion of individual reviews and collective rankings with the full merit review panel. Following each application phase, reviewers will advance a ranking of submissions to the respective AHW governing body for their consideration in selecting applicants to advance to the full proposal stage and making final funding determinations. Applications are due October 31, 2019.

Reviewers from agencies and organizations external to the Medical College of Wisconsin will be paid $400 for completion of Letter of Intent (LOI) review commitments and $800 for Full Proposal review commitments. Reimbursement for travel-related expenses will also be provided. Employees of MCW or members of AHW’s governing bodies are not eligible for payment related to proposal review.

This application period has closed.
