AHW is pleased to share a summary report of our support of Wisconsin’s response and recovery to COVID-19. Covering the period of spring 2020 through fall 2021, the report provides an overview of investments and outcomes of our response, including:

  • The support provided to active grantees, enabling 29 funded projects to adjust to COVID-19 impacts on research and community health initiatives
  • The award of $4.8 million to 17 projects, launching work across Wisconsin to respond to COVID-19, with a focus on underserved, underrepresented, and marginalized populations
  • The continued investment as the pandemic evolved, including how previously funded projects led to critical COVID-19 response activities, including vaccination efforts statewide, as well as an additional award of $230,000 to support vaccination outreach to highly impacted populations in Milwaukee County
  • The work to look toward ongoing recovery, including our outreach to 250 individuals and organizations to inform how we can best support long-term health needs and health equity in Wisconsin
