Advancing Behavioral Health Initiative Phase I

The MCW Partner team is a project within AHW's Advancing Behavioral Health Initiative, an eight-year, $20 million initiative bringing together 10 community coalitions from across Wisconsin to address pressing mental health needs within their communities. The team consists of faculty members and staff from the Center for AIDS Intervention Research, a center of the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. The MCW Partner Team joined the Advancing Behavioral Health Learning Community, providing evaluation support and guidance to each community as they developed their Phase II implementation plans.

Outcomes & Lessons Learned:


  • Completed the Advancing Behavioral Health Initiative Phase I learning community and planning phase
  • Successfully developed project focus and implementation plan, receiving funding award for Phase II five-year project implementation period
