Learning Event Support: MCW General Internal Medicine Lakefront Refresher

Project Description Narrative:

Opportunities for continuous medical education are key to provide clinicans with a new breadth of information that will positively impact their ability to care for patients. Currently, a comprehensive CME event that addresses General Internal Medicine, with in-depth coverage of primary care, hospital medicine and perioperative medicine is not currently available in Wisconsin.

Through Learning Event Support funding, the learning event will provide the most up-to-date information in the field of General Internal Medicine to practicing physicians and advanced practice providers with the goal to provide learners with knowledge that can be used to provide sustainable improvements in patient care. The MCW General Internal Medicine Lakefront Refresher will support participants to increase their individual knowledge of clinical medicine and improve their ability to make decisions that provide safe and effective medical care and positively impact the health care provided to patients.
