Project Description Narrative:

Medicine and medical education are constantly evolving. Emergency physicians are frontline providers for the most critically ill, injured, and vulnerable patients. Disseminating best practices and translational research has the potential to save lives and impact the health of these patient populations. Regional meetings provide a platform for early career faculty, residents, and medical students to present original research, enhance research and teaching skills, and disseminate new developments in clinical practice and education.

This conference will showcase collaborators from a multitude of subspecialties in emergency medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin, enhanced by colleagues from the University of Wisconsin, as well as regional and national leaders. By utilizing a variety of educational formats, including didactics, small group discussions, and interactive skills sessions, learners can immerse themselves in a broad spectrum of educational events. This conference will also provide opportunities for networking and collaboration, critical elements to the academic development of individuals, and promotion of future ideas for research, education, and clinical care.
