Project Duration:4 months

Project Summary:

This year's conference theme is "Leading Boldly for Impact: Strategies to Navigate Change in Evolving Times." The event will focus on building tangible, applicable skills that attendees can “take home and use right away” in their work and in their communities. Dr. Brian Jackson will share a keynote and conduct workshops on leadership and workforce development. Dr. Heidi Steinacker, an MCW DrPH graduate and consultant, will also present a keynote that will focus on global leadership opportunities and the varieties of employment opportunities.

The PHIP Conference is expected to draw an audience of association members and non-members ranging from retired professionals, active practitioners in the field, students and interns, and other public health partners looking to advance their skill sets to improve the health of the public in Wisconsin. Often, the attendees at PHIP are regarded as the “boots on the ground” public health workforce. and tangential public health professions.

Breakout sessions have been compiled by the WPHA PHIP Conference Planning Committee. Members of the Committee are volunteer members WPHA who provide their time and expertise to carefully craft the conference theme, develop learning goals and objectives, solicit speakers from diverse backgrounds and fields, and work with the association management company to implement a successful learning event.
