How We Work / Our Strategies / Pathways for Partners
We believe that the solutions to Wisconsin’s greatest health challenges can be locally devised, and that the problem-solvers stepping forward to take on these challenges need a partner willing to support them along the way. We aim to be that partner.
We call our work changemaking. At the foundation of this is a goal to serve as a catalyst for positive and lasting impact. Toward this end, we dedicate financial and human resources to implement the strategies that define our work and we engage partners along key pathways that target research, development of the health workforce, population and community health improvements, and systems change.
Together, we can drive toward a vision we all share: A Wisconsin where everyone in every corner of the state has the opportunity to be healthy.
At AHW, we work to create the conditions that help our partners succeed through three interconnected strategies:
We call for action around areas of greatest health need statewide and respond to community- and researcher-identified areas for impact.
We aim to break down siloes and build up relationships across sectors and communities.
We work to enhance attributes in community, research and education while supporting effective translation and dissemination of new knowledge to generate and inform programs, policies, and practices.
We believe that change is sparked more rapidly and impact is greater when we work together. We seek out Wisconsin’s innovators, collaborators, and problem-solvers across four pathways:
Basic, Clinical & Translational Research
Education & Workforce Development
Population & Community Health
Policy, Systems & Culture Change
