Project Description Narrative:
Health insurance is a key factor to advancing health. However, the rules and environment around health insurance, and the Medicaid and Marketplace programs in particular, are continually evolving. Professionals who support Wisconsin residents to obtain and maintain health insurance need to stay up-to-date on the latest coverage options, requirements, processes, nuances, and resources available to help ensure that all Wisconsin residents are able to navigate and obtain quality health insurance.
Through Learning Event Support funding, the learning event will support enrollment assisters and stakeholders to better navigate the highly complex and disparate rules and processes of Medicaid, Marketplace, and Affordable Care Act (ACA) programs by sharing the latest regulatory and policy changes. The Wisconsin Enrollment Conference will support participants to address the current health coverage options and eligibility requirements pertaining to Wisconsin residents, highlight coverage policy and program changes for benefit year 2020, be equipped with promising practices for successful outreach and enrollment particularly for at-risk communities, and identify statewide resource to support year-round learning.
