Project Description Narrative:

Current training of healthcare professionals at MCW on how to do breast examinations, pelvic examinations, and obstetric examinations are limited by opportunities for feedback and exposure to pathology. This project will fund the purchase of modern “simulators” designed to improve education and verification of competency in these essential areas.

The project team will design a curriculum primarily for medical student and OBGYN resident use, but which can easily be adapted for other residents or allied health professionals. The curriculum will be “hands-on” to teach these difficult techniques and will evaluate competency before and after several skills sessions.
