Successful applicants will assemble robust investigative teams ready to actively implement the proposed project aims by leveraging diverse expertise to produce new knowledge, products, and models that can address health needs in Wisconsin.

Promising projects funded through this call will demonstrate how the supported research can lead to improved health and/or health equity for Wisconsin communities, either as a direct result of the proposed research (immediate improvement to human health) or as a result of longer-term research plans (eventual improvement to human health that could not occur without important advancements in the scientific field).

AHW encourages projects in alignment with its focus areas of heart health, healthy minds, and cancer. However, work outside of these focus areas will also be considered.
