Continued successful Community Teams Program, recruiting and supporting new cohorts of teams across the state in their work to address critical health needs in their communities. Since 2006, the program supported 55 teams of approximately 280 individuals in a year-long applied learning experience
Launched COACH (Collaborating, Organizing, and Advocating for Community Health) program to create ongoing communication, development, and networking opportunities for Community Teams Program alumni. Engaged an initial five teams in the program
Developed a network of consultants with expertise in a variety of relevant topic areas to assist program participants and community partners in navigating resources and overcoming barriers in communities
Hosted regional workshops to provide tailored training and continuing education opportunities to public health practitioners across the state
Enhanced online offerings and resources for program participants and community partners, redesigning the HWLI website to include a Leadership Library with tools, articles, resources, and stories created by community teams
Built partnerships to market program to new audiences, including establishing a relationship with the Minority Health Leadership Council
Continued ongoing program evaluation and analysis to routinely improve the reach, quality, and scope of HWLI programming
Disseminated HWLI work and lessons learned at local, regional, and national conferences, including the American Public Health Association's Global Public Health Film Festival in 2015
