Project Summary:

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Cancer Center and Center for Immunology will host the 11th Annual Midwest Tumor Microenvironment Conference. Established in 2015, MWTME is the only Midwest conference dedicated exclusively to integrative research training in the fundamental biology of the cancer microenvironment. The meeting provides a highly valued forum for interdisciplinary investigation of interactions between cancer and stromal cells and their roles in tumor growth and progression. The organizing committee is committed to delivering a high-quality program that supports career development and advances cancer research. This will be the first year MCW hosts this important conference. This meeting provides a robust forum for trainees and early-career scientists to present their research, network with their peers, and engage in meaningful collaborations. Attendees from across MCW and its clinical partners will help ensure that scientists, physicians, and trainees are immersed in the current state-of-the-art research in cancer biology and the treatment regimens needed to improve the lives of our patients.
