Project Summary:
WCHQ holds four member events per year to bring educational opportunities to Wisconsin's healthcare providers and the broader healthcare ecosystem, allowing for ongoing dialogue and collaboration between these providers and stakeholders. The event will be hosted by WCHQ staff, who will provide a presentation, introduction, and closing remarks.
The introductory presentation will focus on our data analytics around healthcare value in diabetes and microvascular complications, with a call to action that improvement in quality in controlling A1C prevents and slows the onset of microvascular complications of diabetes, like chronic kidney disease, nephropathy, and retinopathy. The agenda is currently in development. We are working to create a TED-style format, with short presentations on innovative collaborations between WCHQ Health system members and partners throughout the healthcare ecosystem..
With all WCHQ events, we will continue to emphasize the importance of reducing healthcare disparities in Wisconsin. We will have presenters highlight how they consider health equity as they move forward in their efforts to improve the quality of care. This event is public and open to anyone in the healthcare ecosystem working to reduce disparities. The event’s primary audience and focus of marketing will be with Wisconsin health system providers, quality nurses, quality staff, social workers, and community programming throughout the state. This type of opportunity brings providers together to network and collaborate on best practices and initiatives to work together to improve care.
