Project Summary:

Despite advances in pancreatic cancer treatment, significant barriers persist in translating promising preclinical findings into effective therapies that improve patient outcomes. The complex immune environment and evolving treatment paradigms require continuous adaptation of clinical practices.

The 14th Annual Pancreatic Cancer Symposium, hosted by MCW, will highlight innovative approaches to immune modulation, perioperative therapies, and proton beam therapy. Leading experts will present advances in KRAS-targeted therapies and strategies to prevent metastasis, with dedicated sessions for case discussions between attendees and faculty.

Outcomes & Lessons Learned:

  • Engaged approximately 115 audience members from the medical field in cutting edge research and techniques involving pancreatic cancer care and delivery
  • Facilitated extremely high level discussions between world renown pancreatic cancer specialists Dr. Bas Groot Koerkamp from the Netherlands and MCW's Dr. Douglas Evans on state of the art and futuristic pancreatic cancer techniques, research, immunotherapies and future therapies for this devastating cancer.
