Empowering children to make changes that support healthy a cardiovascular lifestyle
Return to Listing
At least half of all U.S. children exhibit one or more preventable risk factors for cardiovascular disease and coronary artery disease. In Wisconsin, significant percentages of students in grades 9-12 report not enrolling in physical activities, being overweight, smoking cigarettes, and not eating the recommended number of servings of fruits and vegetables.
The F4Kids project will address the attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors needed for children to learn the importance of adopting a heart-healthy lifestyle and how to adopt changes in order to do so themselves.
