Project Description Narrative:

In Waukesha County, access to comprehensive dental services is extremely limited for low-income families. Poor dental health is frequently a marker of poor overall health, and many dental conditions are preventable. There is also strong medical evidence that poor oral health is associated with cardiovascular disease.

This project will focus specifically on Hispanic, low-income, and uninsured families facing significant barriers to dental health care. Project partners will explore innovative solutions to this complex community health problem, mobilizing existing public programs, private dental providers, and the expertise of diverse partners.
