Project Description Narrative:

Research shows that intimate partner violence (IPV) occurs in one-third of LGBT relationships in Wisconsin, similar to the frequency of heterosexual prevalence rates However, LGBT individuals are less likely to access mainstream services for IPV, resulting in increased medical and psychological injuries.

Through this project, readiness levels will be assessed for select Wisconsin LGBT communities to address IVP within their communities. Then, a three-year action plan will be developed to address IVP identified for communities based on their assessed readiness levels.
