Project Description Narrative:

As Wisconsin’s population of older adults continues to grow and age, the health of their caregivers is critical, as they are navigating their own health, jobs, and families. This event will raise awareness of the need to identify, support, assess, and train non-paid caregivers of older adults, and develop a plan for shared resources to better support them.

Attendees—including social workers, direct and allied health care professionals, and social work students—will learn about the findings of the AHW-funded project addressing caregiver stress. They will also hear from a keynote speaker on national efforts related to caregivers, and will discuss opportunities for system response improvement.
