Project Description Narrative:

This event will gather educators and leaders in palliative care from MCW and the national community to explore challenging topics in palliative care including symptoms, communication, and ethics to improve care to seriously ill patients and advance the practice of hospice and palliative medicine. Attendees will include physicians, advanced practice providers, and many allied health professionals.

Outcomes & Lessons Learned:

Engaged audience with several expert plenary speakers providing new and updated information on topic of palliative care and hospice
Evaluated feedback which discussed success of the conference and overwhelming positive outcomes for audience members challenged with dates/location of the venue and matching speakers and will look to find speakers earlier in the process next time
