Learning Event Support: Annual State of Science Health Disparities Conference

Project Description Narrative:

This year’s State of the Science in Health Disparities Conference will provide sessions on structural inequalities across diverse disease groups, mechanisms and pathways linking structural inequalities and health outcomes, interventions to address these inequalities, and research and strategies for the future.

The two-day event will welcome professionals interested in how academic institutions and community organizations can collaborate to address the structural inequalities behind our communities’ health disparities, including community organization representatives, researchers, policymakers, trainees, and health professionals.

Attendees will hear from MCW speakers as well as national experts, and have the opportunity to engage in panel discussions, networking, and career development.
