Learning Event Support: 2024 WPHA-WALHDAB Annual Public Health Conference

Project Description Narrative:

The Wisconsin Public Health Association (WPHA) and Wisconsin Association of Local Health Departments and Boards (WALHDAB)’s 2024 Public Health Conference will bring together a diverse group of public health professionals, practitioners, students, and community members to enhance their understanding and engagement in improving public health across Wisconsin.

With contributing support through AHW Learning Event Support funding, the conference will host hundreds of participants both in-person and virtually. Attendees will explore the critical role and responsibilities of public health in Wisconsin, applying evidence-based strategies to shape organizational plans and policies with a focus on health and racial equity. The event will provide opportunities for peer discussions and build cross-sectoral alliances to support Wisconsin’s public health initiatives and partnerships.
