Project Description Narrative:

The COVID-19 pandemic compounded health disparities for rural communities, an underrepresented population served by few qualified mental health professionals. This event will help to shed light on how to address and decrease these disparities through contemporary progressive approaches to behavioral health service delivery that might encourage more qualified professionals to practice in rural communities.

The event will include information on the use of technology and the Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Standards (CLAS) together to improve behavioral health treatment and enhance provider services for the benefit of rural communities.
