Project Duration:36 months

Project Description Narrative:

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death for men and women in Wisconsin. This project seeks to identify novel mechanisms that lead to CVD and to identify small molecule drug-like candidates for CVD.

Currently, the pharmaceutical industry is facing the challenge of finding relevant drug targets for CVD. This project aims to unravel novel targets and small molecule leads that can eventually be developed for CVD treatment. The goal is to develop more drug choices in the market that will potentially cure CVD in humans.
