Researchers leading this project will apply sophisticated imaging techniques to discern the extent of plaque formation and narrowing of carotid blood vessels. Using a new contrast material and recently acquired whole body MRI magnet, they will measure carotid plaque formation and dangerous narrowing of the carotid blood vessels in the brain.
