AHW issues call for Population & Community Health Studies

Grant funding available to multi-sector partnerships seeking to address Wisconsin’s health needs

November 25, 2019 - The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment (AHW) invites eligible multi-sector partnerships to apply for a Call for Population and Community Health Studies.

Through this funding, AHW aims to support both community- and MCW-led partnerships in improving health outcomes in Wisconsin by engaging appropriate populations in relevant research, assessment, or study to create actionable impact on the policies and practices that influence health outcomes. Stage 1 letter of intent applications are due January 29, 2020.

Under this grant opportunity, AHW intends to fund three to five community-led projects and three to five MCW School of Medicine-led projects conducted over a duration of up to 36 months. Each project should anticipate a budget of up to $400,000 based on individual project scope.

Projects must aim to address Wisconsin’s health needs, particularly where differences in health status are inequitable, in one or more of AHW’s three focus areas: Improving heart health, supporting healthy minds, and/or dismantling cancer.
