AHW releases 2018 annual report

July 31, 2019 - AHW invites you to review our 2018 annual report, now posted online. The report highlights the final year of our 2014-2018 Five-Year Plan, completing our shift from grantmaker to changemaker.

In 2017-2018, AHW continued to advance basic, clinical, and population health science progress around areas of health need through $19.6 million toward MCW-led research discoveries and education innovations. We also awarded $16.3 million toward community-led initiatives focused on impacting poor health outcomes, including furthering the work of our eight-year, $20 million commitment to 10 behavioral health coalitions across the state.

The year also included programming that builds the capacity of our partners, from connecting research to the public through the continuation of the popular “Conversations with Scientists” learning series, to capacity-building efforts, and deep technical assistance and learning opportunities developed across research, education, and community partners.
